Natasha's Law, officially known as the UK Food Information Amendment, came into effect on 1st October 2021. It was introduced following the tragic death of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who suffered a fatal allergic reaction after eating a baguette that contained sesame seeds but wasn't labelled as such.
The law requires all food businesses to provide full ingredient lists with allergens emphasised on pre-packed for direct sale (PPDS) foods.
